Peering Connectivity

Public Peering for Better Network Performance

Public peering is an efficient way for networks to exchange traffic directly through shared Ethernet switching infrastructure. It helps reduce transit costs, improve routing efficiency and deliver a better experience to end users.

Peering connectivity infrastructure

Members can connect through a single physical port or combine multiple ports into a larger virtual interface. Once connected to a public peering exchange, networks can establish or remove interconnections with other networks without physically reprovisioning circuits. Hardware can be hosted in the same data center as our switching infrastructure, or connected remotely through a carrier network.

4Vendeta operates route servers to simplify public peering and accelerate interconnection between participating networks. The service is delivered over dedicated VLAN Ethernet infrastructure, supports IPv4 and IPv6, and is available in 1GE, 10GE, 40GE and 100GE capacities, including aggregated capacity where required. The infrastructure is monitored 24/7 by 4Vendeta's Network Operations Center (NOC).

Peering improves IP quality, reduces network costs and gives your users faster, more reliable access to the services and networks they use most.
